Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed Clinton Road widening, Bibb County, Georgia on December 18, 1997. The survey of the approximately 1.3 mile corridor consisted of widening of existing alignment, in an urban setting. No previously recorded archaeological sites are recorded within the confines of the project corridor. One new site, 9Bi88, was located. The site does not appear eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. No further study of the Clinton Road widening project corridor or site 9Bi88 is recommended.
