New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of proposed SR 18 and SR 354 Intersection Relocation in Harris County, February 28, 1996. An additional 304.8 m (1,000 ft.) were surveyed on March 18, 1997. The project area is located southwest of the city of Pine Mountain. The survey located one site in the study corridor, an historic house site. The site does not appear to be eligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, and no further work at the site is recommended.
