Abstract

On July 31, 1991, Southeastern Archeological Services personnel conducted an intensive cultural resources survey of the approximately 1. 6 ha (4. 0 ac) site of the proposed East Thomson Substation for Oglethorpe Power Corporation. No cultural materials were recovered and it was determined that no cultural resources will be impacted by construction of the substation. It is the recommendation of the Principal Investigator that construction of the facility be allowed to proceed.
