Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of seven posed intersection improvements in Fulton County on September 24, 1998. The en intersections include: 1) Cascade/ Palmetto Highway at Wilkerson Mill Road; Butner Road at Camp Creek Parkway; 3) Campbellton Road at Boat Rock Road New Hope Road; 4) Cascade Road at Carlo Woods/Cascade Overlook; 5) Nesbit Ferry Road at Brumbelow Road; 6) Nesbit Ferry Road at Arborwoods Road; 7) bit Ferry Road at Scott Road. The parameters for the archaeological survey were feet of approach for each road within the intersections and 50 feet on each side of current centerline on the road. A pedestrian survey designed to identify archeological sites was also conducted at each intersection site. No archaeological s were identified within the seven areas of possible impact, therefore no further archeological work is recommended in these areas.
