On September 2, 1999 New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the widening and improvements to Jeffersonville Road, Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. The project corridor follows the existing Jeffersonville Road beginning at the intersection with Recreation Road and continuing 190 meters south of the intersection with the Fall Line Freeway for a total length of 0.88 mile. No archaeological sites were identified within the areas of possible impact, therefore no further archaeological work is recommended in this area.
