Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of a proposed bridge replacement and realignment of McIntosh Trail (CR 91) in Coweta County on March 10, 1999. The project area consists of the new alignment, the surrounding limited right-of-way, and the approach on either side of the existing bridge just west of Sharpsburg in Coweta County. A pedestrian survey consisting of surface exposure inspection and shovel testing was conducted at the site. No new or previously recorded archaeological sites were found by the survey. Therefore, no further archaeological study is recommended at the sites.
