Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the new alignment for the Forsyth County Frontage Road on March 8, 2000. The corridor features a right-of-way of 100 feet and extends approximately 1 mile beginning along Haw Creek Road and continuing along new alignment to end at Buford Highway/SR20. The corridor is located just outside the southern city limits of Cumming. No archaeological sites were found during the course of the survey. No further archaeological study of the proposed Forsyth County Frontage Road corridor is recommended.
