Abstract

In April and May of 2001, nine intersections in Toombs and Chatham Counties, Georgia were archeologically surveyed by Southeastern Archeological Services, Inc. (SAS). The survey was undertaken to ensure that the Georgia Department of Transportation is in compliance with Federal regulations concerning the disposition and protection of significant cultural resources (National Historic Preservation Act of 1966--as amended). No archeological sites were discovered, and no further archeological studies are needed at these intersections.
