Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed intersection improvements at Stewart Road and Reese Road and SR 54, Coweta County, Georgia. Archaeological field investigations took place on the morning of July 1, 2002. Two isolated finds - one a historic ceramic fragment (IF1) and the other a prehistoric flake (IF2) - were recovered on the northwestern side of the intersection between Stewart Road and SR 54. The isolated finds have no research potential and no further archaeological work is recommended for this intersection.
