Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the Skelton Road Memorial Park Drive corridor in Hall County, Georgia, October 10 to October 14, 2003. corridor extends 2.41 miles (4.02 kilometers) in total length with a right-of-way width of to 150 feet (30 to 45 meters). The corridor includes widening and approximately 1.3 miles kilometers) of new alignment. A surface scatter consisting of quartz flakes, stone tools, debitage was discovered. A site form was completed for this site and filed with the Georgia File in Athens, Georgia. The site (9H1482) is not considered eligible for the National of Historic Places. No additional archaeological study is recommended.
