Bobby Brown State Park Elbert County Site Visit Report--Rock Mound

The Office of the State Archaeologist responded to a request for a site visit to inspect a rock mound that had been reported by a campground host at Bobby Brown State Park, located at the confluence of the Savannah and Broad Rivers in Elbert County. There was some concern about the possibility that the mound might be a grave. Staff Archaeologist Ronnie Rogers was shown the mound by park staff on December 21, 2004.
