This project proposes to widen both approaches of SR 140 to its intersection with Cox Road. This widening will accommodate a left turn lane for the northbound approach of SR 140. The existing location consists of two 12' travel lanes with 5' grass shoulders. The proposed new configuration will consist of three 12' travel lanes (one through lane in each direction, and one turn lane/striped median) and 5' grass shoulders. SR 140 will be widened on the east side of the corridor to facilitate this change. The existing right-of-way is approximately 50', with an additional 5' to 15' of right-of-way and easements required. Total project length is 1000'.
