Abstract

The project consists of a Phase I archaeological survey of three intersections along Lower Fayetteville Road in Coweta County, Georgia. The first is at the northwest and northeast corners of the intersection of Sullivan Road and Lower Fayetteville Road, the second is located at the northeast comer of Lora Smith Road and Lower Fayetteville Road, and the last is located in the southwest quadrant of the intersection of Parks Road and Lower Fayetteville Road. The area of potential effect is located where Sullivan Road, Lora Smith Road, and Parks Road intersect Lower Fayetteville Road. At each of these intersections, twenty feet (6.09 meters) of new right-of-way is required. At the intersection of Sullivan Road and Lower Fayetteville Road the portion of the study area in the northwest comer extends approximately 475 feet (144.78 meters) and approximately 250 feet (76.2 meters) in the northeast. The study area in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Lora Smith Road and Lower Fayetteville Road is approximately 250 feet (76.2 meters). The southwest quadrant of the intersection of Parks Road and Lower Fayetteville Road features approximately 250 feet (76.2 meters) of new right-of-way in the study area. Details of the new right-of-way are shown on the project location maps.
