Fort McAllister (Figure 1) plans to construct a laundry facility to serve recently opened park cabins. The facility will be located on the south side of the campground road between the cabins and the pioneer camping area (Figure 2). Access to the facility will follow an existing park road that intersects the campground road about 500 meters east of the park office/museum. An archaeological investigation was conducted on the evening of 4 March and morning of 5 March2005. No significant archaeological resources were discovered in the project area. No further archaeological investigation is recommended.
