The proposed project would widen US 280/SR 30 in the City of Reidsville. The proposed project begins at the intersection of Mosley Street and proceeds in an easterly direction to the entrance of Gordonia State Park, for a total distance of 0.86 mile. SR 56 will be realigned to provide for a better intersecting angle with US 280/SR 30. US 280/SR 30 will be widened to a three lane urban section. Right turn lanes will be added at selected intersections. Existing right-of-way varies between 60 feet and 100 feet. Proposed required right-of-way would be a maximum of 100 feet. This reevaluation was concerned with the increased project length of approximately 350 feet. The previous end was at STA 49+57.61 and the project will now end at STA 53+3 1.00.
