Archaeological Assessment of Project CSSTP-0007-00(307), Coweta County. The proposed project would provide auxiliary turn lanes on SR 34 approximately 2 miles east of downtown Newnan. The project extends from the 1-85 northbound ramp at MP 15.25 on SR 34 to MP 15.72, just west of Lakeside Way, for a total length of approximately 0.47-mile. All proposed work would be done within existing right-of-way, which varies from approximately 250' to 335'. An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted for the entire length of the project corridor.
