Abstract

An assessment of the potential for cultural resources in Panola Mountain State Conservation Park was conducted on 11 December 1980. Research and fieldwork indicate that undiscovered cultural resources may exist with the park and that known sites are in no imminent danger. Instrument mapping, testing and further historical research are recommended to evaluate the significance of these sites before development is undertaken.
