Intensive archaeological survey was conducted by Southern Research during 1998 -2000 in land management Compartment B-03, which is located in Chattahoochee County, Georgia. This work was done for the U.S. Army Infantry Center, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division, Fort Benning Military Reservation, in compliance with Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966. Fortyfour archaeological loci were identified (23 sites and 21 isolated finds). Six sites were identified that are potentially eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Protective measures are recommended for these sites.
