This work was done for the U.S. Army Infantry Center, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division, Fort Benning Military Reservation, in compliance with Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966. A total of 892 acres (361 ha) was examined. A total of 38 archaeological loci (24 sites and 14 isolated finds) was identified. Ten sites in this compartment may be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Protective measures are recommended for these potentially eligible sites.
