Intensive archaeological survey was conducted by Southern Research in 1998 in land management Compartment A-08, which is located in Chattahoochee County, Georgia. This work was done for the U.S. Army Infantry Center, Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division, Fort Benning Military Reservation, in compliance with Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966. Three archaeological loci were identified (1 site and 2 isolated finds). No sites were identified that are potentially eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
