An assessment of potential cultural resources in Providence Canyon State Park, resulted in the documentation of four archaeological sites. Two of them require no additional work but testing is strongly recommended for the other two. Both are residential or house sites and one has a prehistoric component as well as standing structures. The main structure on this site was evaluated as significant in terms of the National Register criteria in 1978.
