This report presents the results of the archeological testing of site 9CH1087, located on the old Drakies Plantation north of Savannah, Georgia (Figure 1). Currently, the property is owned by the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA). The archeological testing was done to ensure that GPA continues to be in compliance with the Georgia Environmental Policy Act (GEPA), which states that State agencies should be good stewards of significant or potentially significant archeological and historical properties. Site 9CH1087 was first recorded during an archeological survey in February of 2005 (Braley 2005).
