Abstract

This is an archaeological report short form for Second Addendum to Archeological Survey of the Proposed Bridge Replacement: SR 122 over Little River, Lowndes and Brooks Counties, Georgia. First Addendum: The total project length has changed from approximately 6,300 feet (1.19 miles) to approximately 8,652 feet (1.64 miles). On the west end, the project length has been extended roughly 600 feet. On the east end, the project length has been increased approximately 1,300 feet. In addition, new temporary easement measuring 10 feet wide has been added on the south side of SR 122. This new temporary easement would occur from Sta. 74 + 00.00 to 89 + 90.45. On the north side of SR 122, the new temporary easement, measuring 10 feet wide, would occur from Sta. 22 + 55.00 to Sta. 44 + 73.08. First Addendum: Reconnaissance (walk-over, surface inspection) and systematic shovel testing of the amended project area. Second Addendum: No additional fieldwork was performed. Inspection of the revised project plans indicated that project changes are covered by previous survey work.
