Abstract

This report contains a review of known cultural resources in the vicinity of Little River Dam #25 in Fulton County Georgia and the results of a cultural resources reconnaissance survey of the Project APE. Fieldwork was performed in February 2017 by Golder Associates, Inc. (Golder). The intent of the present study was to make a preliminary assessment of the cultural resource potential in the study vicinity and to inventory previously identified cultural resources for these areas of Georgia. The archival and literature review indicated no archaeological sites or historic properties that are currently listed in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) lie within a 1 mile radius of the Project APE. Golder's cultural resources reconnaissance survey of the Project APE, which was conducted on February 1, 2017, identified no cultural resources within the Project APE. This area was observed to be highly eroded and impacted by previous dam construction and is extremely unlikely to yield any cultural material. Golder recommends clearance for cultural resources for the proposed undertaking.
