Original: The proposed project would consist of traffic signal upgrades at five intersections within the cities of Fort Valley and Byron, Peach County (list attached). The project would improve the overall efficiency and safety of traffic flow due to upgraded traffic signal displays and state-of-the-art traffic signal control equipment and provide better signal coordination through new signal interconnection cable. It would also improve pedestrian safety with improved crosswalk, pedestrian signals and sidewalk ramps where appropriate. Addendum: Right-of-way is now required at 3 of the intersections.
