Abstract

GDOT Archaeological Report Short Form for Negative Findings: Addendum to Phase I Archaeological Survey of Fayette County Signal Upgrade Project Areas, Report Title Fayette County, Georgia. Prime Consultant: QK4; County(ies): Fayette USGS Quadrangle(s): Fayetteville & Tyrone Project Description: Original: The proposed project consists of traffic signal upgrades at five intersections along SR 54 in Fayette County. This project would improve the overall efficiency and safety of traffic flow due to upgraded traffic signal displays and state-of-the-art traffic signal control equipment and provide better signal coordination through new signal interconnection cable and improve pedestrian safety with improved crosswalk, pedestrian signals, and sidewalk ramps where appropriate at the following intersections: 1. SR 54 at Ginger Cake Rd. and Birch Rd. 2. SR 54 at Shiloh Rd. and Summer Rd. 3. SR 54 at Walt Banks Rd. and Carriage Lane Area of Potential Effect 4. SR 54 at Robison and Prime Point 5. SR 54 at Peachtree Parkway Addendum: ROW is now required at Intersection 2--SR 54 at Shiloh Rd./Summer Rd.-SE quadrant-680.59 square feet (0.0156 acre) & NE quadrant-384.33 square feet (0.0088 acre).The APE for the project includes everything within the proposed construction project length and within the maximum extent of the existing and required right-of-way as described above.
