The proposed project would consist of traffic signal upgrades at four intersections within Henry and Butts Counties, Georgia. The proposed project would improve the overall efficiency and safety of traffic flow due to upgraded traffic signal displays and state-of-the-art traffic signal control equipment and provide better signal coordination through new signal interconnection cable and improve pedestrian safety with improved crosswalk, pedestrian signals and sidewalk ramps where appropriate at the following intersections: SR 42 at Flippen Road in Stockbridge; SR 16 at Peachtree Street in Jackson; SR 42 at East Atlanta Road SR 155 at Lawrenceville Street in McDonough. Addendum project description: The following ROW amounts will be required at these intersection improvements: 1. SR 42 at Shields Drive/Flippen Road: a. ROW from NW quad 124.634 square feet b. ROW from SE quad 271.989 square feet 2. SR 155 at Lawrenceville Street: a. ROW from SW quad 324.246 SF b. temporary easement from SE quad 233.226 SF c. temporary easement from NE quad 280.807 SF 3. SR 16 at Peachtree Street: a. ROW from NE quad 123.494 SF b. ROW from SE quad 102.263 SF c. Temporary easement from NW quad 168.216 SF d. Temporary easement from SW quad 138.871 SF The Area of Potential Effect for the project includes everything within the proposed construction project length and within the maximum extent of the existing and required right-of-way as described above.
