Abstract

The proposed project would pave and upgrade Nail Road to meet 35 mph design speed (Figure 1). Currently, Nail Road is a gravel road and is constructed for speeds below 3 5 mph. The project would include replacing two undersized culverts. The stream crossing at Sta. 51+00, two 48" corrugated metal pipes, would be replaced with three 8'x5' box culverts. The second stream crossing at Sta. 62+50, 54" corrugated metal pipe, would be replaced with two 60" reinforced concrete pipes. The total project length is 6000 ft (1.14 miles).
