A Cultural Resources Survey was performed on the proposed extension of Forest Service Road 249 in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area of western Union County, in the Toccoa Ranger District. The roadway was located in Land Lots 284, 292, and 293, on the north slope of upper Little Rock Creek. It began on F.S. 249 at stake 273+06, located in a saddle northwest of Pine Tar Knob, and extended ca.30001 eastward, passing through a large clear cut area. The field survey was conducted by Lori A. Gaffney, Social Science Technician., on September 16, 1980. Figures 1 and 2 locate the survey.
