Abstract

TRC was contracted by the City of Perry, Georgia to conduct an archaeological survey of a 1.8-mile corridor proposed for development as the Big Indian Creek Trails in Perry, Houston County, Georgia. The Area of Potential Effects for the survey consisted of a ten-meter-wide corridor where ground-disturbing activities may take place. The survey, which consisted of shovel testing and surface inspection of the 1.8-mile-long corridor, revealed one site which has been recommended ineligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. No further archaeological investigations are recommended in advance of this project.
