A cultural resources reconnaissance was conducted in areas proposed for recreational facilities development at Clarks Hill Lake. The proposed impact projects are within the Lake Springs, Clay Hill, Big Hart and Modoc recreation areas; Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie and McCormick (SC) Counties. The proposed developments include the realignment of existing roads, construction of new roads, and the construction of new parking facilities. During the course of this reconnaissance, no prehistoric or historic cultural resources were identified.
