Abstract

The proposed project would construct a nine-foot wide sidewalk behind a six-inch curb and two-foot paver strip on both sides of Roswell Road between Abernathy Road and Johnson Ferry Road in Sandy Springs, Georgia. A 10-foot landscape strip would be constructed behind the sidewalks. The sidewalk would only be constructed in areas along the project corridor where there are not existing sidewalks. Other amenities would include planters, benches, and trash receptacles. The sidewalks would be constructed within existing right-of-way, and be compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). The total project length is approximately 0.85 mile. The APE for the project includes everything within the proposed construction project length and within the maximum extent of the existing right-of-way as described above.
