Abstract

This project proposes to continue the widening of Eagle's Landing Parkway from Village Center Parkway through the intersection with SR 42/US 23 to 700 feet east of Talon Place. The widening of Eagle's Landing Parkway west of Village Center Parkway is currently under construction as part of NH-IM-75-2(212), which is an interchange project that was let for construction in December 2003. The interchange project will replace the 2-lane bridge over 1-75 with an 11-lane bridge with a raised median. The 11-lane section will narrow to 6 lanes with a 20' raised median in the vicinity of Village Center Parkway, where the proposed project, STP-0002-00(638), will continue the 6-lane footprint. After the intersection with SR 42/US 23, the 6-lane section will be reduced to 4-lanes with a 20' raised median, which matches the configuration of Phase I of East Lake Parkway Extension at the proposed project's eastern terminus. The existing right-of-way along Eagles Landing Parkway is 200 feet and no additional right-of-way would be required:Right-of-way acquisition would be required along SR 42/US 23. The existing right-ofway is 165 feet and the required right-of-way would be 180 feet. Right-of-way would also be required along East Lake Parkway. The existing right-of-way is 92 feet and the required right-of-way is 150 feet. Right-of-way would also be required at intersection miters. The second addendum to this project will include the addition of Four M Loop which consists of 2 lanes, 12' wide and approximately 400' in length connecting Eagles Landing Parkway and Four M Way.
