Abstract

In July 2008, R.S. Webb & Associates (RSWA) conducted a phase I cultural resources survey of the proposed 4.6-mile [7.4 kilometer (km)] Sweet Tea transmission line corridor located within Fort Gordon, Georgia. The transmission line will service the National Security Agency/Central Security Service facility at the fort. Under the National Historic Preservation Act and the Archeological Resources Protection Act, the phase I cultural resources survey was performed to locate and identify cultural resources within the project area, and to assess resource significance based on National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) criteria.
