Abstract

Following a 1977 cultural resource survey of Tract A-3196 on the Armuchee Ranger District, a prehistoric lithic scatter, called Silver Hill Site F (Ga #9Cg8) was recommended for further testing to determine eligibility for nomination to the National Register. This paper reports on the field evaluation of that location by the author on March 2, 1983. No evidence for prehistoric occupation or use of the site or the general vicinity was found, despite extensive tests. Clearance for the proposed land exchange is recommended.
