On January 15, 1983, Robert S. Webb and Larry Knight, archeological consultants for Claude Terry & Associates, Inc. (CTA) conducted a 100 percent coverage cultural resource pedestrian survey of the proposed 70 acre land application site in Pierce County, Georgia. A review of the site files at the University of Georgia in Athens revealed that no prehistoric or historic resources have been previously recorded within the impact zone. Surface survey and subsurface shovel testing revealed no cultural resources. Since no resources were discovered, CTA recommends full cultural clearance for the proposed land application site.
