Abstract

Project TSAP-11 (208) is the proposed construction of a left turn lane and decel lane on U.S. 319/S.R. 11 at the intersection of County Road 124 south of Fitzgerald in Ben Hill County, Georgia. The proposed project would begin approximately 274.3 meters (900 feet) south and end approximately 182.8 meters (600 feet) north of the intersection of U.S. 319/S.R. 11 and C.R. 124. An additional 6.0 meters (20 feet) of right-of-way would be required on the westside of U.S. 319/S.R. 11 for 91.4 meters (300 feet) north of the intersection of U.S. 319/S.R. 11 and C.R. 124 and for the entire .47 kilometer (0.294 mile) length of the proposed project on the eastside of U.S. 319/S.R. 11. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed projects rights-of-way was conducted for the entire length of the proposed project corridor. No existing or potentially eligible National Register archaeological resources were located within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect as described in paragraph two above.
