A cultural resources reconnaissance investigation was conducted by the author on the proposed site of the SCFRC Atmospheric Deposition Testing Laboratory, at the Georgia Forestry Commission's National Tree Seed / USFS Fire Lab facility, near Macon, Georgia. Figures 1 and 2 locate the area surveyed, and Plates 1-4 at the end of the document illustrate the site. This parcel is off Riggins Mill Road (Old Camp Wheeler Road) near the Franklinton community, along the Seaboard Coast Line Railway which runs east-west approximately one block south of this lot. The location is just east of Interstate 16 and US 129. It Is in Land Lots 112 and 113 of District 7, Bibb County, Georgia, UTM Zone 17, E 262260, N 3632330.
