Abstract

The site represents a low density, surface and plowzone scatter consisting of unknown period prehistoric lithics. The site has been extensively disturbed by past road construction, power line construction, recreational/farm road use, and foresting activities. The site measures approximately 30 by 30 meters and is restricted to the surface and plowzone. Only one subsurface artifact was recovered from ten shovel tests excavated to sterile subsoil. Based on the degree of site disturbance, low artifact frequency and variety, and the low potential for intact sub-surface features or deposits, the site is recommended as not eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. No further cultural resource management consideration is recommended.
