Abstract

This report presents the results of the preliminary archeological reconnaissance of historic and prehistoric sites along' the portions of Flowery Branch (Creek) and its tributaries not presently incorporated in Lake Lanier, within the city limits of Flowery Branch, Hall County, Georgia. The area surveyed includes 9925 lineal feet of 50-foot wide right-of-way for sewer and effluent lines, and an area averaging 600 feet in depth for a distance of 750 feet along the shoreline of the drowned mouth of Flowery Branch (Creek). The survey was conducted by Sheila K. Caldwell, beginning on November 21 and completed on November 25, 1975, except for photographic processing and typing.
