The following report describes a cultural resource survey of proposed U.S. Forest Service Road Number 1211, scheduled for construction during 1977. The proposed road is located in compartment 195 (31) of the Oconee National Forest. The proposed route begins along a county road 2.3 kilometers (1.4 miles) southwest of the point where Highway 278 crosses the Oconee River, 2.7 kilometers (1.65 miles) north-northeast of Swords, Georgia, and approximately 1 kilometer (.6 miles) southwestwardly for approximately .65 kilometers (.45 miles).
