Abstract

The following report presents the results of archaeological investigations at 9 Co 246, an early twentieth century blacksmith's shop in Cobb County, Georgia. The shop was identified during the archaeological survey of Georgia Department of Transportation project FR-114-1(62), the proposed widening of S.R. 120, Dallas Road, in Cobb County. All of the work performed at the shop following the initial discovery of the site was done independent of GDOT and any errors and interpretations presented within are the sole responsibility of the author and should not reflect upon the GDOT.
