An archaeological survey was performed by GDOT for project F-012-1(56), Floyd County. One site of potential National Register of Historic Places significance was identified. Test excavations were performed and data were recovered which were indicative of an intensive Early Woodland occupation at site 9F1(DOT)6. As a result of the test excavations, a mitigation proposal and Request for Determination of Eligibility has been prepared.
