Abstract

Construction of a waterborne toilet involves three categories of impacted area, the actual site of the facility, the drain field, and the staging area for construction equipment and offices. All of these activities are considered detrimental to cultural resources when these resources are present. In the present case, staging areas will be limited to the paved parking area. The actual site and the drain field will be within what is, at present, a traffic island within the public use area (see Figure 1).
