Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed intersection improvements at State Route 16 at Poplar Road and Orr Road in Coweta County, Georgia. Archaeological field investigations took place on March 28, 2002. A single archaeological site (9Cw181) was located within the proposed project area. The site consisted of a historic artifact scatter associated with a previously recorded historic building (Resource No. CW-627). Site 9Cw181 is recommended as ineligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
