Abstract

On December 17, 1995, an intensive archaeological survey was conducted on two areas of Cranes Creek in Richmond County, Georgia. The survey was conducted in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto. The purpose of the survey was to locate archaeological resources on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places within the proposed areas of minor channel improvement and detention pond dam construction. Results of the intensive archaeological survey indicate that no archaeological resources on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register are located within the proposed project's areas of effect .
