A cultural resources survey of this access road and timber sale area in Compartment 303 of the Brasstown Ranger District was conducted in January 1983. Most of the terrain is on greater than 25% slopes. No sites were found on the road or sale areas, but an historic house complex lay in a small valley immediately to the north of it which should be protected until further investigation can be carried out there. Clearance for the proposed projects is recommended.
