The proposed project consists of the proposed median and streetscape improvements along State University Drive in Fort Valley. Improvements would include the installation of a 14 foot center turn lane and five foot sidewalks along State University Drive from University Boulevard to just north of Friendship Circle/Memorial Drive. In addition, an eight foot wide median curb would be installed to house landscaping from Friendship Circle/Memorial Drive to SR 49. Lastly, concrete sidewalk would be installed in areas where sidewalks do not currently exist. The existing right-of-way varies with a maximum of 110 feet. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed project description was conducted along the entire length of the project corridor.
