Abstract

The Farmer's Bottom site, 9ST62, is a Late Mississippian archaeological site located in an area that is a popular location for dispersed recreation activities. These unmanaged activities have the potential to damage the site if it is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. The Chattahoochee‑Oconee National Forest proposes to conduct test excavations at this site in order to determine if it is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
