Abstract

In July of 2009, KCI Technologies conducted an additional Phase I archaeological survey in conjunction with revisions to the 1-75 widening and reconstruction project (GDOT Project NHS-0000-00(763), PI# 0000763, HP-080401 0-002). The project involves interchange modifications at the CR 240/0id Coffee Road and the CR 216/Quitman Road interchanges in Cook County, Georgia. Due to substandard lateral clearances from the edge of the existing 1-75 lanes to the face of the overpass columns, the CR 240 and CR 216 interchanges will be replaced. The interchanges will be reconstructed in a diamond configuration able to accommodate a future 8-lane typical section for 1-75.
